Villa Il Galero, built in 1691, is an enchanting example of Venetian architecture just below the Rocca di Asolo.

It stands on a sloping terraced land, from which you can enjoy a spectacular view of the surrounding plain, on a clear day you can see the Euganean Hills and Venice in the distance. It has a strategic position, surrounded by the tranquility and greenery of its centennial gardens and trees, just a few steps from the historic center.

The prestige and the uniqueness of Villa Il Galero is given by the harmony of the architectural proportions and by the richness of the decorations on the well preserved Venetian stucco walls and 18th century marble that give it an elegant and luminous appearance.

At the center of the property we find the villa with the two porticoed barns that were the old stables, stables and granaries now converted into dwellings, and a chapel.

It can accommodate up to 14 people.



The central body of the villa is divided over three floors.

On the ground floor we find:

the kitchen
the dining room, decorated with refined stuccos and marmorinos in pastel green, ocher yellow and white with a few golden accents. The room is embellished by the ceiling where there is a group of putti in relief with bunches of golden grapes and decorations with allegorical themes.
a living room decorated with Venetian marmorino and stucco in light blue, white and ocher yellow tones
a small living room, a cozy environment of enveloping intimacy that transmits serenity, decorated on the walls in pastel pink and white in stucco and marmorino. There is also a fireplace and a door with a tile decorated in relief stucco with landscape representations

On the first floor we find:

The white room, so named by the color of the walls, decorated with marmorino and stuccos. Behind the bed stands a large stucco canopy with faux drapery and cherubs. As above door and above window there are panels decorated in stucco with rural and hunting scenes.
a very bright sitting room, with marmorino and stucco walls in ocher yellow and white tones and the ceiling with exposed beams painted with geometric patterns and decorated with relief paint and stucco.
The pink room, so named by the color of the walls, decorated in marmorino. As a backdrop to the wall of the bed there is a stucco canopy with geometric motifs. The ceiling has exposed beams painted.
The sitting room that was once the room of Cardinal Rubini, the owner of the villa. On the side of one of the walls there is a canopy with religious depictions and themes as a background, and there is a fireplace framed by a very refined fake drapery work.
On the second floor we find

Three single rooms
Therefore, in the villa there are three double bedrooms, one twin bedroom, two single bedrooms, a bedroom with a French bed, and a kitchen that can be used by those occupying the entire villa and common areas.

The rooms in detail:

- Pink room: king size double bed, private bathroom with tub and shower, three seater sofa, three chairs and a small table with mirror.

- White room: king size double bed, private bathroom with tub and shower, two armchairs, table.

- Panoramic suite: king size double bed, private bathroom with shower, sitting area with armchairs, desk and fireplace (possibility of renting a communicating room for children aged 4 to 18 years that shares the bathroom). It is called panoramic because it is very bright, positioned at the corner of the house and therefore has a 360 degree view of the surrounding hills and the garden of the villa.

- Art Decò Double Room: two single beds, small sofa, desk, art deco style furniture. Private bathroom with tub and shower. Possibility of renting a room for children aged 4 to 18 who is right in front, sharing the bathroom.

- 3 single rooms: not rentable independently, bookable only as an annex to the rooms listed above.



Annexed to the villa with a separate entrance, there is the Beretta, an annex consisting of an entrance hall with a corridor leading to a small living room, a double bedroom and a large bathroom. There is also a kitchen and a sofa bed for a single person and a half.


The east barchessa, once used as a barn, is today the residence of the villa's owners and staff.

Treviso Nord motorway exit, via Montebelluna / Treviso Sud motorway exit, via Castelfranco

From the South:

Padua motorway exit, via Castelfranco, Nuova Strada del Santo

From the West:

Vicenza Nord motorway exit, Valdastico exit, via Cittadella / Castelfranco and Dueville motorway exit, via Bassano The historic center can be reached by car, except on Friday and Saturday evenings and on Sundays and holidays, during which the ZTL is in force.

ZTL timetables (Limited Traco Area):

Access to the Historic Center, to non-residents, is prohibited at the following times:

- every Friday and Saturday from 9.30 pm to midnight

- every Sunday and public holidays from 11.00 to 19.00.
