The historic residence La Sciolta was built in 1932 by the Swiss lady Irma Kemmerle, who immediatly loved this place that much to build here her main residence, with a deep sense of hospitality. The delightfully unique structure was an elegant residence and intimate retreat that hosted many famous people. During the Second World War here the famous jewish family Finzi Contini was welcomed and sheltered, many elderly people in the area still remember them. In 1954, the current owners bought La Sciolta to have the chance to live in the wild and romantic nature of this area but, at the same time, close to the most beautiful art cities of Tuscany.
The Villa has been restores and enriched with modern and comfortable amenities, heating, air conditioning, Wi-Fi internet access both inside and outside. The sobriety of the home welcomes the guest as a family friend, a retreat where they can relax, reflect, think, and organize.
