This villa, built in the 17th century, is immersed in the quiet of the Siena hills, just 3 km far from the Siena. Surrounded by eight acres of olive groves, it enjoys spectacular views of the city where you can be enchanted at every hour of the day. In the square of the Villa there is also a small but delightful chapel preserved as in its origins, where it is possible to celebrate mass. La Strega is the manor house of a large agricultural complex, it forms part of the adjacent farmhouse that has been recently renovated as Agriturismo Di Charme. Villa La Strega, now for more than a century, when it was bought by the current family, it already brought this picturesque name "the witch". After a thorough research at the State Archives of Siena, we discovered its ancient and curious origin. In the eighteenth century a witch known in the area for its magic chord lived in this villa; this chord was able to move alone, bind and pull things. The story tells that, to those who tried to steal it, the witch did traps and tricks animating the rope. The Villa has been completely renovated recently and they worked with attention to maintain the original atmosphere by combining the needs of modern times and the soft elegance of Tuscany.
